Get more jobs from the leads you already pay for.
No pushy scripts. We call, text and fill in your forms the way a buyer does, time every reply, and show where each sale slipped.
What we do
The Secret Shopper Sales Audit tests your own team the way a buyer would. Set up with you, we call, text, fill in your web forms and use your chat: 12 secret-shopper contacts (6 calls, 4 web forms and 2 texts or chats), spread over two weeks across weekdays, evenings and one weekend, plus a review of up to 25 calls you already record. Then we count:
- How fast each call, text, form and chat got a first reply, on every channel you use. That is your speed to lead, measured.
- Whether anyone answered the price question with something a buyer could use.
- Whether anyone asked for the appointment and set a clear next step.
- What happened after: the follow-up, if one came.
Where your lines already record calls with a recording notice, we also score up to 25 of your recorded calls on the same four checks. The call review is part of this audit.
What you get
A counted baseline
Every test listed with its channel, the time it went in and the time a reply came back. Your missed calls and reply times, counted, not guessed.
A one-page scorecard
Each test and each recorded call scored on four checks: answered fast, asked for the appointment, handled the price question, set a next step.
The top three fixes, written out
The words to say on the phone, the text to send back, and the rule for the next step after every inquiry. Ready to hand to your team.
One priced next step
What we would fix first, with its price. The $1,000 counts toward it if you buy within 30 days. If the count is fine, the report says so.
What we need from you
- Written authorization for the tests, and the phone numbers, forms and chat you want tested.
- Your leads and the jobs you won over a recent stretch, from your own records or your CRM, so the close rate is yours, not an estimate.
- Recorded calls, if your lines already record them with a notice.
- A contact for questions by email. No sales call is needed, before or during the audit.
Set up with you, in writing
Every test is set up with you, on your own lines, with your written authorization. We only test your own team.
We never record calls ourselves. We review calls your own lines already record, only where your callers hear a recording notice. Otherwise we take notes, and nobody is recorded covertly.
Price and terms

A sample finding
Illustration: a sample written for this page, not a client’s results.
Test 1: phone, weekday morning
Answered on the second ring. Price question: “It depends.” No appointment asked. No next step.
Test 2: web form, weekday evening
First reply: a text the next morning. No price range. No next step offered.
Test 3: chat, Saturday
No reply until Monday.
Fix 1, written out
When price comes up, give the range for that job, say what moves it up or down, then offer two times to come out and quote it exactly.
Who it’s for
- Owner-led service businesses that pay for leads: home services and trades, clinics (notes only, no recorded-call review), dealers, agencies and other firms with someone answering calls, forms and chat.
- Owners who watch missed calls and close rate, and want the count from their own lines.
Not for anyone who wants cold-call lists or bought email lists, or wants staff recorded without notice.
Questions
Is the audit worth $1,000?
You see a written scope by email before you pay anything. Every finding points to a test, a recorded call or a line in your own records, and the $1,000 counts toward any fix you buy within 30 days.
What if we aren’t missing calls?
Then the count will show it, and the report says so plainly. You still leave with a baseline and a scorecard, so you know where your team stands.
Wouldn’t an answering service or a call app be cheaper?
Sometimes it is. We don’t push any tool or service. If a cheaper fix is enough, the report says which one and what it needs to do.
Will this make my team pushy?
No. The fixes are plain words: a price range instead of “it depends,” a direct question, and a next step the caller agrees to. No pressure tactics, and no scripts that corner people.
Do you record my staff without telling them?
No. Every test is set up with you, on your own lines, with your written authorization. We never record calls ourselves: we review calls your lines already record, only where callers hear a recording notice; otherwise we take notes. Nobody is recorded covertly.
Am I signing up for coaching or a long-term contract?
No. The audit stands on its own, under a short agreement for that one study, with no long-term contract. If you want coaching after, it runs from $1,000 a month with no term and stops in any month.
Will I get a report and see nothing change?
The audit ends with the top three fixes written out (the words to say, the text to send back and the rule for the next step), ready for your team, and one priced next step.
